Space technology refers to the science and technological knowledge developed to study, explore, and utilize outer space. Rockets, satellites, spacecrafts, telescopes, and space stations are all examples of it. They play a vital role in weather forecasting, communication, defense, research, navigation, and space travel.
It is not just about launching rockets or exploring planets, it’s also knowledge that makes our lives easier. In one word, space technology is taking humanity beyond the boundaries of Earth into the mysteries of the universe.
Space technology encompasses many aspects from orbital studies, types of launch vehicles, to the development of key centers. It is not just science, but a foundation for the future.
India has created wonders in this field. Starting with INCOSPAR in 1962, which later became ISRO in 1969, India has carried out many missions with launch vehicles like SLV,PSLV,and GSLV.
With missions like Aryabhata (1975), Rohini (1980), Chandrayaan-1 (2008), Mangalyaan (2013), Astrosat (2015), Chandrayaan-3 (2023), and Aditya-L1 (2023), India amazed the world. Centers like Sriharikota, Bengaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram stand as symbols of India’s space power.
A country that once carried rocket parts on a cycle is now about to send humans into space. How many more wonders will we witness in the future?
